Gilles Dusfour is an engineer and researcher in biomechanics, specializing in motion analysis and the development of digital solutions to better understand human movement. With a doctorate in mechanics from the University of Montpellier, he has collaborated with a number of leading laboratories, including LMGC, Euromov and IMT Mines Alès, where he has worked on characterizing biological tissues and creating innovative tools for calculating and analyzing images.
Within the CARTIGEN platform, he is involved in research into musculoskeletal pathologies. His missions range from the design of scientific protocols to software development, including the use and maintenance of state-of-the-art measurement tools: motion capture systems (Xsens MVN, Qualisys), force platforms, inertial sensors and electromyography. It supports researchers and companies in exploiting this complex data to derive reliable and useful indicators.
His research and interventions apply to both the medical and sports fields, contributing to injury prevention and performance optimization. Gilles Dusfour is renowned for his ability to bring together academic research, industrial innovation and the enhancement of human movement in all its forms.
