William FRENCH

William French is a Franco-Norwegian artist whose work redefines the interaction between body and sound. At the crossroads of music and new media, he fashions ethereal, cerebral sound worlds, favoring mystical chord progressions and complex sound design. He rejects genre labels to focus on an immersive, sensitive approach to electronic creation.

A true alchemist of movement, he uses sensor gloves to sculpt his music through gesture. On stage, this cutting-edge technology enables him to pilot laser shows in real time that react to his arms, creating a total symbiosis between performer, space and audience. His practice transforms technical performance into a sensory ritual in which the digital becomes an extension of the living.

At an altitude of 150 m, William is conducting research into the digital embodiment of emotions and gesture. He takes advantage of this immersion to explore how Motion Capture Full Body and its portable devices can enrich the language of live performance. His aim is to hybridize his tools with the energy of the territory to create visual and sound experiences that resonate with the identity of the site.
