Murielle Bedot

A dancer and choreographer from Martinique, Murielle Bedot has been exploring the body as a territory of memory, emotion and transformation for over sixteen years. With a state diploma in jazz dance, she has fashioned a singular choreographic style, nourished by her Afro-Caribbean roots, mental preparation and deep listening to the body.

Her work lies at the crossroads of contemporary Afro dance, body theater and the ritual of movement. Through her creations, she questions posture, presence and feminine power, always seeking to link flesh to spirit, the individual to the collective, the visible to the invisible.

Artistic director of Compagnie SEL, she sees the stage as a space for liberation and elevation. Her pieces, like her workshops and performances, celebrate the strength of the black body, the courage of vulnerability and the reclaiming of inner power.

Murielle strives to reveal the beauty of raw gesture, that which is born of reality, pain, breath and silence. A committed choreographer, she collaborates with artists from a wide range of disciplines - dance, music, visual arts and writing - to create sensitive, powerful works that are both introspective and universal. Her approach aims to reconnect audiences with their own bodies, their humanity and their zest for life.

Through her creations, Murielle pursues the same quest: to transform buried emotions into creative power, to turn the body into a voice, and the stage into a place of truth.

He has a background in international sales and change management, specializing in international business transformation and has an interest in real sustainability. Long known for bringing ideas into life by finding or inventing a transparent bigger picture, Jimmy's work continues to empower artists and communities while making "the invisible, visible" through cultural expression.
