Based in London and born of Trinidadian immigration, Patricia Lalla is a storyteller exploring the boundaries between film, television and new technologies. With dual Masters degrees in screenwriting (London College of Communication) and immersive storytelling (Royal Holloway), she has made her mark with a singular approach where historical narrative meets innovation. Her short film «Earth» won acclaim at the Sitges Film Festival, while her work for StoryFutures rediscovered forgotten figures through augmented reality.
Recognized for her commitment to transmission, Patricia sits on the advisory board of MyWorld, a British research center dedicated to creative technologies. Her career is marked by prestigious collaborations, notably with the Women in Film and Television program and the Sheffield DocFest. Through her projects, she strives to give a voice to Caribbean perspectives within the global digital industry, combining rigorous research with cinematic magic.
As part of her residency at 150 m altitude, Patricia is developing the «Operation Neuland» project. This immersive cinematic exploration delves into a little-known episode of the Second World War in the Caribbean. She takes advantage of her immersion in Martinique to deepen her research into the strategic roles played by the region, using immersive technologies to transform this historical memory into an original sensory and narrative experience, anchored in the territory.
