The residency is a place of passage, encounter, research and creation.
It belongs to no single discipline: it is invented as artists, researchers, technicians, thinkers and dreamers take their place within it.
Here, the residence is not a fixed frame, but a form in motion.
We welcome projects that question, displace or reinvent the boundaries between visual arts, music, performing arts, design, cinema, animation, audiovisual, life sciences, hardware, software, or even the media. wetware - this human and sensitive material that links thought to the body.
We have defined forms of residency - of writing, research, creation and exploration - but they are only starting points.
We remain open to the unexpected, to surprise, to encountering a field we hadn't imagined.
Each residence thus becomes a space to build, deconstruct, rethink.
A safe space for fearless experimentation free space to invent without constraint.
The place reflects the vision of its artistic director, Georges-Emmanuel Arnaud, for whom creation is like a childhood game - that of Lego: assemble, move, combine, transform.
Each project adds a new brick to a common, modular edifice that's constantly evolving.
The residency does not impose a method; it offers a terrain, a community and the tools to build new forms of thought and creation together.
Painting, photography, sculpture, film, animation, VFX, space or image design - the visual and audiovisual arts find here a place to reinvent themselves. Formal experimentation, narrative, light and movement are all languages to be explored.
Dance, theater, music, performance and sound art: bodies, voices and rhythms feed the research, in a constant dialogue between presence and representation.
The residencies open the field to the crossroads between art and science: biomechanical research, motion capture, artificial intelligence, entomology, physics or anthropology. Hardware, software and wetware coexist here to redefine the relationship between the living, the machine and the imaginary.
Forms, times and disciplines are flexible. Each residency becomes a laboratory in motion, a place to think about the future of creation, between rigor and playfulness, between intuition and method, between solitude and collaboration.
The most beautiful example is our residence of culinary experimentation.
Residence philosophy
The Creative Residency offers artists dedicated time to make concrete progress on a project: developing an idea, continuing a work in progress or finalizing a work. It provides a workspace, equipment, and tailored support, without imposing any predefined form or result. The aim is simple: to enable each artist to concentrate, experiment and work under the right conditions. The residency encourages dialogue with the local area, while allowing the freedom to carry out personal research or artistic production.

Residence philosophy
The Résidence d'Écriture Cinématique explores writing that integrates staging from the outset: framing, movement, presence, light and rhythm. Text becomes a visual and dramaturgical gesture, nourished by performance, space and creative technologies (motion capture, 3D tools, previsualization). The residency functions as a laboratory where writing is tested, transformed and invented into new narrative forms for cinema, animation, video games and interactive experiences.

The Résidence d'Exploration Artistique is open to artists of all disciplines.
It provides a framework for experimenting, trying out ideas, confronting an intuition or exploring a material, without any obligation to produce a finished work.
The aim is to enable artists to take the time to experiment, to cross practices, to open up their work to other forms or methods.
The residency encourages projects that are built up over time, through encounters with the site and the territory, and through dialogue between disciplines.

The Résidence d'Expérimentation Culinaire extends the dynamic of the Studio Canteen, born of sharing, learning and food autonomy.
It offers a place to explore cooking as a creative practice: try out ideas, work with local produce, meet producers and develop culinary skills in a calm, accessible setting.
A home-grown garden provides a base for local plants, herbs, fruits, seasonal vegetables and acclimatized varieties. Residents can experiment, document or simply get inspired.
The residency favors a simple, open approach: fermentation, pastry-making, popular cuisine, family recipes, gastronomy or experimental research - everything can be explored, without hierarchy.
The aim is not performance, but transmission: sharing a meal, exchanging methods, highlighting know-how and leaving a trace (recipe, image, workshop or feedback).

The Residence Research-Based Art is aimed at artists whose practice is based on research: field surveys, archives, observations, experiments, protocols or disciplinary crossovers.
It provides a framework for developing an artistic approach in which research is central, whether theoretical, documentary, scientific, social or situated.
A residency allows you to take the time to explore a subject, test hypotheses, gather materials and reflect on the forms this research can take in an artistic practice.
The aim is not necessarily to produce a finished work, but to advance a process, structure a methodology, or lay the foundations for an artistic project based on research.

Residence philosophy
The Résidence d'Art Génératif is open to artists, designers, developers and researchers exploring creation using generative systems: algorithms, rules, data, simulations or automated processes.
It proposes a framework for thinking of the work as a evolutionary process, a dialogue between the living and the machine. The artistic gesture lies not only in the final result, but in the design of the system, in the choice of rules, in the observation of variations and in the way the calculation interacts with reality.
The residency allows for free experimentation: testing protocols, bringing data, images, sounds, movements or behaviors into dialogue, observing what emerges and documenting transformations.
The aim is not necessarily to produce a finished work, but to advance artistic or technical research into the forms produced by calculation and data.
Disciplines concerned
Generative art - Digital arts - Algorithmic creation - Creative code - Computational design - Data art - Artistic research

The Résidence Jeux Vidéo is aimed at game designers, developers, artists, scriptwriters, animators, sound designers, researchers and hybrid collectives.
It provides a framework for exploring video games as cultural objects, narrative tools and experimental spaces.
The residency is an opportunity to question game mechanics, systems, interactive narrative and the relationship with the player, while integrating the body and performance as creative elements.
Motion capture is made available as a research and prototyping tool: motion capture, exploration of acting, character animation, embodied gameplay testing or staging of interactive sequences.
The game is approached as a process: testing an idea, prototyping a system, confronting gameplay with real movement, bringing together narrative, image, sound, rules and performance.
The aim is not necessarily to produce a finished game, but to advance in creative or technical research, to lay the foundations for a project or to explore new forms of play.

Visit open calls, Our current and future projects offer artists and researchers the opportunity to work in specific settings for specific periods of time.
But beyond these occasional calls, the residency remains open to encounters, conversations and direct proposals.
Many projects are born of exchanges, shared ideas and mutual curiosity.
This flexible, organic approach reflects our way of working: listen, understand, build together.
It can accommodate approaches that go beyond pre-established frameworks and respond to singular needs - be they artistic, scientific, educational or experimental.
Would you like to propose a project or simply start a conversation?
Every dialogue is an open door to possible collaboration.
