Janosch Dietrich
Innovator & circular builder
Janosch Dietrich has founded several non-profit organisations, companies and projects, and is co-director of the Coconat workation retreat and the Flämingo Startup Hub, both based in rural Germany.
He works at the intersection of design, architecture and artistic material research. His practice focuses on circular systems, reuse and experimental construction, ranging from upcycling and compost-based infrastructure to research into bio-based materials.
As part of the Banana Dreams residency in Martinique, he explores the banana plant as a resource and material, investigating how fibres, leaves and organic residues can be transformed into new, locally rooted and circular applications. Through hands-on experimentation and exchange with local partners, he aims to develop new approaches to sustainable materials and architecture while building long-term collaborations between Martinique and Germany.
