Jimmy Lundegård

Cultural producer & painter

Jimmy Lundegård is a Swedish cultural producer and visionary leader with a focus on developing contemporary Sami art and dance. As a producer for JILLAT – Sami Dance Center, Jimmy develops new spaces for artists to meet, collaborate and develop their work in northern Sweden. With a focus on inclusivity and sustainability, he has played a key role in establishing platforms that highlight marginalised voices, especially the vibrant Sami culture, through dance, music and interdisciplinary projects. He is also an artist, painting large-scale portraits both in his free time and in collaborative projects with Liv Aira.

He has a background in international sales and change management, specialising in international business transformation, and has a keen interest in real sustainability. Long known for bringing ideas to life by finding or inventing a transparent bigger picture, Jimmy continues, through his work, to empower artists and communities while making “the invisible, visible” through cultural expression.
