Megan Gill
Cultural engineering & technical direction
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Megan Gill is a central figure in Caribbean cultural engineering. With more than 16 years of experience, she moves with rare ease between artistic direction and high-level technical expertise, spanning theatre, music and immersive stage design. A bassist by training who became an expert in cultural management (Master’s in Arts & Culture), she has contributed to projects of international scope, from coordination support at the Prague Quadrennial to stage management for Grammy Award-winning artists.
Her hybrid expertise — combining lighting design, sound engineering and digital strategy — enables her to carry Caribbean narratives to world-class standards of excellence. Beyond the technical, she sees herself as a builder of ecosystems, able to turn an artistic vision into a complex and compelling physical reality.
Her time at 150 m d’altitude marks a period of exploration devoted to the hybridisation of the arts. Megan immerses herself in the territory to discover how cutting-edge tools such as motion capture can be integrated into live performance and theatre. Her goal is to test new use cases in which technology does not merely accompany the performance, but becomes a lever for transmission and innovation for Caribbean imaginations.
