John Dower

John Dower is a director working across film, television, games and interactive media. His television credits include Silent Witness, Wolfblood, Casualty and EastEnders, and his short films have received awards including Best Short Film at the Cannes Short Film Festival and the Young Leopard of Tomorrow Award at the Locarno Film Festival. Since 2007 he has directed cinematics and performance for video games, including Grand Theft Auto V Online (Rockstar) and Space Marine 2.
He is co-founder and lead tutor of The Mocap Vaults, a training and consultancy company dedicated to performance in motion capture for actors, animators, directors and game developers, and co-author, with Pascal Langdale, of Performing for Motion Capture: A Guide for Practitioners (Methuen Drama). It was John Dower who put 150 m d’altitude in touch with Liv Aira and Jimmy Lundegård.
