Liv Aira

Liv Aira is a dancer, choreographer and artistic director from Sápmi, Jokkmokk, in Sweden. A graduate of the Institute of the Arts Barcelona with a Master’s in dance and choreography, she has built a powerful, spiritual body of work nourished by her Sámi roots. Her output spans live performance, screendance and the organisation of events such as the Låvda festival, reflecting her commitment to sharing and promoting choreographic art.

She now performs internationally, both in her own productions and with other companies, and her work is recognised for its animal imagery and deeply inhabited movement. Since 2010, Liv has also taught dance (contemporary, jazz, ballet) at numerous institutions and workshops around the world, sharing her sensitive yet demanding approach with dancers of all ages.
