Vincent Sekwati Mantsoe

Born in Soweto, South Africa, Vincent Sekwati ‘Koko’ Mantsoe is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. Descended from a line of sangomas — traditional Zulu healers — he grew up in a world where movement connects bodies to spirits. This spiritual heritage has profoundly shaped his path and underpins his vision of dance as a vital force, anchored in tradition yet open to the contemporary world.

Trained at Moving Into Dance Mophatong, he developed a distinctive aesthetic he calls Afro-Fusion, blending African, contemporary and ritual dance in a search for balance between power, humility and humanity. Based in France since 2005, where he founded Association Noa – Compagnie Vincent Mantsoe, he pursues an international career while remaining true to his roots. Through his work, he explores memory, spirituality and the energy of the body as a universal language linking past and future.
